Hi, I’m Douglas Corzine. I cover theater, culture, and the people who make both.

I am a freelance arts journalist and critic with bylines in the New York Times, Town & Country, Interview, and many more.

I care about how performance intersects with politics, identity, and history, and my work explores what happens both onstage and outside the spotlight. Whether I’m writing about a push to unionize performers, a documentary play reckoning with white supremacy, or a solo staging of the Odyssey in Ancient Greek, I look for the stories behind the scenes.
