I am a writer, researcher, and educator from Nashville, now living in New York City. I primarily cover the performing arts, but I have experience with all kinds of journalism. I first worked in journalism at Nashville Public Radio, where I covered local stories as an intern and freelancer. I went on to study comparative literature at Princeton University, where I took journalism courses with John McPhee, Joe Richman, and Candis Callison, had editorial roles on two student papers, and wrote general interest stories for the Princeton Alumni Weekly.
Outside of my writing work, I am the 2025-26 TWDP Artistic Fellow at Roundabout Theatre Company. I cover the performing arts on my personal time, and my writing does not reflect the views of my employers. I do not write about Roundabout, report on the business affairs of other nonprofit theaters, or review productions in New York. I ask outlets printing my theater coverage to include a disclaimer noting my affiliation with Roundabout whenever possible.
